Baltic Shipping Days 2010

Baltic Shipping Days is for the 8th time arranged, now returning to the popular Hotal Södra Berget in Sundsvall 17-18th November 2010
More participants, again, which is why we are hosting even more interesting seminars involving internationally-recognized speakers representing every aspect of the industry: from producers and carriers, by land and sea.

This year's theme “FUTURE CHALLENGES” is chosen from the fact that there is a concern from producing industries and transportation companies about the effects of new EU laws regarding emissions from Vessels .
The conference will bring answers to how the Industry , carriers and land transporters will plan to tackle the massive cost increase for transportation in the Baltic sea area, we will hopefully also have some clear information on how the governments that have agreed to adopt the new EU rules look upon the fact that the heavy industry may move from the North Baltic area due to transport distances being to costly.
How will the shipping lines, road hauliers and rail operators meet the new challenges? In other words, Baltic Shipping Days will address important issues, that concern governments, organizations and the producing industry.
The conference is honored to welcome Mr. Gennady Bessonov , secretary general at Council on Transiberian Transportation and Mr. Johan Roos Director of Sustainability at STENA AB
More speakers will be announced later

This year we give more room for companies to show their idea´s and products by offering more exhibition space and better possibility to meet and chat with colleagues and clients. Our aim is to keep Baltic Shipping Days as a recurring event where you will hear interesting speakers and meet people to exchange ideas, and hopefully, do business.

Baltic Shipping Days represent a unique opportunity for you and your colleagues to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the industry as well as an excellent forum for meeting suppliers and other involved in the business to discuss the challenges facing shipping and logistics in Europe, and worldwide.
